DGS staff member Scott Andres served as a panel presenter at the Lewes Water Workshop hosted by the Lewes Planning Commission on February 21, 2019. Nine panel presenters from state and local government, UD, consulting, non-profits, and insurance informed nearly 75 Lewes residents about current and future water issues facing the town. Mr. Andres’ presentation “Coastal Groundwater – Status and Trends” covered current water table conditions, water table flooding in response to storms and high tides, and expected water=table rise in response to a rising sea level.
