This site summarizes much of the research and activities of the Delaware Geological Survey including publications, data, and information released to the general public. We do our best to make this site rich and fresh with content while maintaining a clean and user-friendly interface; however, with the rapidly changing technological environment of the Internet, sometime this becomes difficult. If you encounter problems using this site, or would like to see more (i.e., new, different) information added, please feel free to contact us. We will try to respond to every comment we receive.
The site simultaneously serves as 1) a brochure promoting DGS to attract other research collaborators as well as for recruitment purposes, 2) an educational document on the geology and hydrogeology of Delaware, 3) a data and information distribution mechanism, and 4) a point of contact to receive feedback and questions from the public.
In order to make this site accessible to a large audience, we aim to support all of the major web browsers in use today. Currently, this includes Internet Explorer 7 and 8, FireFox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari
Technically, this site depends on the hard work and efforts of several open source software communities. A special thanks goes out tho several members of these groups for their help and to the open source movement in general, for the ability to modify code as needed and share the results with others in an open environment. Specifically, some of the major open source projects that provided significant amount of feedback are:

- Simile Widgets, http://www.simile-widgets.org/
- Mapserver, http://mapserver.org/
