John H. Talley is the Director Emeritus of the Delaware Geological Survey. He served as Director and State Geologist from 2003 until his retirement in June 2011 and was subsequently named Director Emeritus. His primary activities were in the fields of Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology, Stratigraphy, and Technology Transfer.
Mr. Talley is a licensed geologist in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and a Certified Professional Geologist of the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He has served on dozens of boards, committees, and task forces for state, municipal, university, and federal agencies, and professional organizations. Mr. Talley is a member of the Association of Ground Water Scientists and Engineers, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He served both as professional member and president of the Delaware State Board of Professional Geologists.
