DGIR

DGIR (Delaware Geologic Information Resource)

Welcome to DGIR!

The DGIR web site is the new way to access DGS geologic and hydrologic information. The DGIR web site and viewer is designed to allow you to view DGS data, print maps, directly access feature and image map services with your desktop GIS, and perform data extracts of any data layers offered. The base map for the DGIR web site is derived from the Delaware Spatial Data Framework layers in the Delaware DataMIL enabling it to be as up-to-date as possible. As DGIR is developed, additional tools will become available for digging down into DGS data sets. All future DGS digital spatial data will be accessed through the DGIR interface. Simply follow the basic steps below to access the viewer and begin exploring Delaware Geology!

Disclaimer

The Delaware Geological Survey (DGS) is constantly gathering data from multiple sources, interpreting the data, and reflecting its interpretations on maps. Reasonable efforts have been made by DGS to verify that DGS geologic and hydrologic digital data used within the Delaware Geologic Information Resource (DGIR) accurately interpret the source data used in their creation. Maps generated using these data through the DGIR viewer may, however, contain omissions and errors in scale, resolution, rectification, positional accuracy, development methodology, interpretations of source data, and other circumstances. Geologic and hydrologic information is also date specific and as additional data become available and as verification of source data continues, this information may be reinterpreted and updated by DGS without notification. This map should not be used for navigational, engineering, legal, or any other site-specific use. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed an expressed or implied waiver of the sovereign immunity of the State of Delaware or its duly authorized representatives, agents, or employees.
