EXPERTISE

William "Sandy" Schenck joined Delaware Geological Survey in 1981 and has a M.S. degree in Geology. Mr. Schenck's principal research interests are Delaware Piedmont Geology; however, his main duties involve statewide GIS coordination, and operation of the Delaware Data Mapping and Integration Laboratory (DataMIL).

Mr. Schenck currently serves as Vice-President of the Delaware Board of Professional Geologists. He is the author of over 20 published papers and has conducted many talks and workshops for schools and community organizations. Mr. Schenck has been a member of university M.S. committees and has supervised numerous DGS undergraduate assistants. He serves as the DGS Digital Data Coordinator and provides controlled access of disseminated DGS geospatial data.

Mr. Schenck has a secondary appointment as Associate Professor in the College of Marine and Earth Studies.
